The provincial key observation meeting on air pollution prevention and control was successfully held in Dongbei Panyu Industrial Park
Correspondent: Peng Shuhua On the afternoon of April 17, 2025, the environmental performance priority enterprise on-site observation and exchange activity of the 2025 provincial key area training course on air pollution prevention and control organized by the Hubei Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment was held at the Panyu factory area of Huangshi Dongbei Casting Co., Ltd. More than 50 representatives from various cities, prefectures, directly administered cities, and Shennongjia Forest Area Ecological Environment Bureau leaders, as well as the main responsible comrades of the Atmospheric Science Department, and representatives from the Provincial Ecological Environment Monitoring Center Station, Provincial Ecological Environment Science Research Institute, Provincial Law Enforcement Bureau, participated in the on-site observation and learning of industry benchmark enterprises in the province.
On site observation: A new benchmark for green and intelligent manufacturing in the foundry industry. At the production site of Panyu factory, attendees focused on observing the fully automated intelligent casting production line and intelligent unmanned brake disc processing and spraying production line, as well as the application scenarios of multi process intelligent industrial robots and IoT technology. Detailed understanding of the application examples of process optimization design in reducing pollution and consumption in the entire process of enterprises, as well as green and low-carbon transformation, such as reducing casting machining allowance, improving casting manufacturing accuracy, promoting the reduction of energy consumption in the entire industry chain and downstream, and improving the utilization rate of resources in the entire industry chain. Prioritize the use of green and environmentally friendly materials and recycled raw materials throughout the production process to achieve a green and circular production system.
【 Experience Seminar: Practice of Precise Pollution Control Closed loop Management 】 At various pollution discharge nodes in the production workshop, observers deeply examined the application scenarios of the deep treatment process technology for particulate matter, which reduced the company's particulate matter emission concentration by more than 50% compared to industry standards. They also gained a detailed understanding of how the company efficiently decomposes low concentration VOCs into harmless substances in areas prone to VOCs generation. The attendees also learned about the company's promotion of waste heat recovery and utilization instead of gas boilers, electric forklifts instead of diesel forklifts, and the implementation of national level five and above logistics vehicle entry control in the factory area around the clock, as well as key environmental protection application cases for air pollution prevention and control of mobile sources. They also learned about the centralized treatment and reuse of domestic sewage in the park for production, achieving efficient water resource recycling and zero discharge of regional wastewater.
【 Strategic Deployment: Digging into the Industry's Emission Reduction Potential 】 Li Gongzheng, the head of the Atmospheric Department of the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, summarized two requirements to the participants before the observation meeting ended: firstly, to promote the deep management experience of environmental protection management in the foundry industry in Huangshi Dongbei Foundry Panyu Factory, and to promote more foundry enterprises in the same industry in the area where the participants are located to strive for environmental protection upgrading and efficient pollution source control; The second is to deepen the assistance work for local enterprises in air pollution prevention and control, regional joint prevention and control, and air governance improvement management, and promote the effective implementation of the "Hubei Province Air Quality Improvement Action Plan".
This observation activity provides a quantifiable technical template and management demonstration for the air pollution control of key industries in the province through the mode of "on-site observation+application scenario analysis", marking a new stage of "benchmark leadership and comprehensive improvement" in the air pollution prevention and control work in Hubei Province.
